Stockton, CA

5th Annual

Youth Summit

The Summit 411

The TRÜ HOPE Summit is a day of hope and learning for the

entire community, and it’s back for its 5th year running. With a

new home and new format, this year’s Summit is slated to be the

best yet!

The day begins with a high school career and college fair, where

1500 Stockton Unified high school students will be bused onto

the campus at UOP for a 5 hour life-changing experience. First,

they are treated to a high-energy, music filled, 2-hour TRÜ HOPE

performance, with an all-star cast of local and national stars. A

team of professional story-tellers, recording artists, artists,

dancers, spoken-word poets, extreme and mainstream athletes,

America Ninja Warriors, and Hollywood stunt men and women,

each of whom have incredible stories to share, and incredible

talents that entertain. They are all beacons of inspiration on how the science of HOPE can change someones life, and openly share their personal journeys overcoming addiction, depression, sexual assault, generational poverty, and the like. While each performer has a different story, the underlying message is clear, “your future can be better than your past, but understand you have a role in making it

that way.”

After an infusion of TRÜ HOPE, students will spend the rest of their afternoon participating in a career and college fair, with over 70 colleges, business, and community based organizations represented. They will also treated to lunch, along with a brief presentation from Delta College UoP representatives, and a Q&A and meet ‘n greet with the TRÜ HOPE performers.

The TRÜ HOPE Summit also extends into the evening with a night performance that is free, and open

to the entire public. While the show is for everyone, we are working closely with UOP campus staff to make this a mandatory event forall greek life members, residential life students, and student athletes. Our hope is to fill the arena with 2000 community members and college staff and students, and give them the gift of TRÜ HOPE too.
